Free HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI Testing
We provide free, completely confidential testing by appointment. Pregnancy testing and emergency contraception options are also available by request during your visit. Our standard testing panels include:

Rapid Testing
We offer rapid testing for both HIV and Hepatitis C. A small blood sample is collected from the finger for this test and results are given within 15-20 minutes.

Urine Collection
Urine tests will check for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Trichomaniasis. After your sample is collected, it is sent to the lab for processing, and you should receive your results in just a few days!

Blood Draw
Our blood draw tests for Hepatitis C, Herpes 1&2, and Syphilis. Blood draws are also used for confirmatory testing for HIV.
HIV Prevention Options
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)
PrEP is a daily pill or a regular injection that drastically reduces your risk of contracting HIV. It is a highly effective option for anyone looking to proactively protect themselves, including partners of individuals living with HIV, folks with multiple sexual partners, or people who use injection materials.
PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)
PEP is an emergency 28-day pill regimen taken after a potential exposure to HIV. To be effective, PEP must be started within 72 hours of exposure. And the sooner you begin, the better.
Please note that neither PrEP or PEP are 100% effective at preventing the contraction of HIV and should be paired with other safe sex practices like condoms and regular testing.

HPV & Hepatitis A Vaccinations

The HPV Vaccine
The HPV vaccine helps protect against a wide range of HPV-related health complications, including cervical, anal, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.
- Under 15: Only 2 doses are needed if the first dose is given before age fifteen.
- Ages 15+: Individuals starting the series at age 15 or older will need 3 doses.
We are able to provide HPV vaccinations entirely for free thanks to the generous partnership and contributions of the Brooke Crawmer Joseph Foundation. Learn more about Brooke and her legacy here.

Hepatitis A Vaccine
While the Hep A vaccine is routinely given during childhood, adult boosters or catch-up vaccines are highly recommended for individuals who use injection materials, individuals engaging in anal sex, or anyone who frequently travels internationally.
Central Illinois Friends provides free HPV & Hep A vaccinations regardless of insured status.
