Central Illinois Friends now offers no to low cost gynecological care to our clients. Friends is committed to offering the same high quality care that Family Planning clients had come to expect, and we hope that you will join us in this next chapter in our journey.
Central Illinois Friends is stepping up in Galesburg to offer gynecological healthcare options previously offered by Family Planning Service of Western Illinois. Cancer Screenings
As a sexual health clinic, Central Illinois Friends understands that access to preventative care is an important part of taking control of one’s health. That’s why we are offering pap smears along with breast/chest exams to help detect cervical cancer, breast cancer and other health concerns early.
Our compassionate, confidential services are available to uninsured or underinsured patients, with sliding-scale fees based on income. Early detection saves lives, and our experienced providers are here to make screenings accessible.
Birth Control Options
At Central Illinois Friends we are committed to offering a variety of birth control options to fit our clients needs, including:
· Daily Hormonal Pill – Easy, hormone-based protection
· Patch – Convenient, patch applied weekly
· IUD (Copper/Hormonal) – Long-term, reversible, & highly effective
· Vaginal Ring – Low maintenance, monthly option
· Depo Shot – Hormonal Injection every 3 months
· Nexplanon Implant – Small arm implant lasting up to 3 years
Our caring providers will help you choose the best method for your body and lifestyle.
Additionally, Central Illinois Friends always offers free Emergency Contraceptive (Julie) at all of our clinics.
Additional Testing Services
Central Illinois Friends also provides confidential, affordable care for common sexual health concerns not usually included in STI test screenings, including:
· Pregnancy Testing – Free, and can be easily as a part of any urine-based testing service
· Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) Screening – Quick and painless swab test to detect imbalance.
· Yeast Infections – Microscopic examination to confirm infection
· UTI Testing – Urinalysis to check for urinary tract infections.
While we are in this moment of transition opening this new clinic clients may experience small gaps in services, in compensation we will be offering ALL Gynecological Care Services for free with a plan to eventually return to Family Planning’s previously established sliding scale.
